IN KAZAKHSTAN, WORK CONTINUES ON DECOMMISSIONING OF THE BN-350 FAST REACTOR
Of the 466 nuclear reactors operating in the world, only three belong to the most efficient and promising type of FBR — on fast neutrons. Their operation makes it possible to solve the problem of fuel self-sufficiency of nuclear power. The first experimental-industrial fast nuclear reactor in terms of power is the BN-350 in Aktau (Shevchenko). Today, its safe deactivation is the subject of cooperation between Russian and Kazakh nuclear scientists within the framework of a unique project.

Decommissioning of RU BN-350
LLC "METR" and LLP "MAEK-KAZATOMPROM" submitted a Feasibility study (feasibility study) "Project of decommissioning of the BN-350 RU" to the State non-departmental expertise of projects " of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The object is recognized as unique and has no analogues in the world. Such a project is being defended for the first time in the State Expert Examination of the Republic of Kazakhstan. LLC "METR" is the General Designer of the feasibility Study. The best international specialists and consultants were involved in the work. The technologies used in the project received positive feedback from the IAEA nuclear energy specialists and from the Vienna International Center for Nuclear Competence.

В Японии рассчитывают возобновить работу семи реакторов АЭС
Общее число функционирующих в стране реакторов достигнет 17. ТОКИО, 24 августа. /ТАСС/. Министерство экономики, торговли и промышленности Японии планирует с лета 2023 года возобновить работу семи реакторов расположенных в стране атомных станций. Об этом в среду сообщила газета Yomiuri.
